About the Next Generation Water Summit
The Next Generation Water Summit brings together the building and development community, water reuse professionals and water policymakers in a collaborative setting to share best practices and learn about innovative water conservation and water reuse techniques that can be used to comply with water conservation restrictions spreading across the southwest.
The Green Builder® Coalition Membership recently elected Kim Shanahan onto the Board of Directors for another 3-year term. He had previously served on the Board from 2013-2016, with his final 2 years as Board Chair.
Kim is the former Executive Officer of the Santa Fe Area Home Builders Association, a position he had held for 10 years. Prior to that, he was a residential builder of green, affordable housing subdivisions in Santa Fe, NM.
“Coming back on the board of the Green Builder® Coalition is a great honor, especially as we continue to spread the influence of our Water Efficiency Rating Score on the national and international scene”, said Shanahan. “We have brought an effective tool to market that is a true game-changer in predicting and measuring water conservation in the built environment.”
“Kim has been as involved as any Member we’ve ever had”, stated Mike Collignon, Executive Director of the Green Builder® Coalition. “He’s been a part of the WERS Development Group since Day 1; he championed the Water Rating Index in the most recent National Green Building Standard update; and he is an active member of the Next Generation Water Summit planning committee. The Board and I are very happy the Membership re-elected him.”
Shanahan joins current Board members Drew Brandt (Chair) and Craig Conner. Shanahan’s new term will expire on October 1, 2021.
